The River Boat Six with Jonah Jones (on two tracks) — The Greatest Dixieland Ever (Sealed Used)

Vintage 1960 Still Sealed - Never Opened! / Mono pressing by Guest Star Records / Jonah Jones is credited on the cover, but read more closely and you will see that some selections are performed by an ensemble called the River Boat Six. The back cover provides a lengthy biography of Jones (and no information about the mysterious River Boat Six) but does not reveal which artist(s) perform individual selections. Only the label inside divulges that Jones is behind a mere two of the ten cuts, "J.J. Special" and "Beale Street Blues." Those recordings are taken from a 1954 session of the Jonah Jones Sextet for the Bethlehem label, and the River Boat Six may have been a studio creation.
